The UPSHIFT Impact Assessment and Documentation project evaluates how UPSHIFT builds 21st-century skills among Bhutanese students as the programme expands nationwide.
Through a mixed-methods study and a short impact video, the assignment provides the first baseline on student skills, teacher implementation experiences, and the effectiveness of UPSHIFT's integration into the whole-school Scouting system.
Nyingnor delivered comprehensive assessment tools, nationwide data collection, field documentation, and impact video production to guide the national scale-up of UPSHIFT.
Assessment Tool Development – Designing pre/post-test questionnaires and online survey instruments for 127+ schools
Quantitative & Qualitative Data Collection – Conducting nationwide surveys, analysing 3,500+ student responses, and synthesizing 70+ teacher interviews
Field Visits & Case Study – Visiting selected schools to document 3 UPSHIFT Human Interest stories
Impact Video Production – Scriptwriting, filming, interviews, and editing a 3–5-minute documentary
Final Reporting – Delivering an evidence-based assessment report with recommendations to guide national scale-up
